i have to take my truck in to get some warranty work (bottom front has a slow oil leak) and was wondering what is the easiest way to unplug the ***. monitor? its an overhead mount. also if someone knows a dealership around central ohio that will overlook the edge all together, it would save me alot of time and hassle. thanx

Since the edge unit reads egts, slippage, etc. Your position is that you're only using this unit for gauging purposes, not power. Here in NC, dealerships sell, and install these on trucks, from the get go. Again, you're unit is only used for egt and monitoring purposes (wink).

You can push it back into the headliner and put the blank off or pocket back for the time its at the dealer, thats what I did. just take out the box from under the hood only thing left is the cable for the monitor. just tell them its for a stereo or dvd player...might work I had no issues with it.

IMO that's a design flaw with the Attitude monitor. There is no plug to disconnect it from the cable. You have to fish the cable back through the cab if you need to take it out. I just recently went through this when I had to send it back for a s/w update.
