I ran 19.5 rims and tires and hated them for driveability. No adapters, as I had Rickson Eliminator 19.5 wheels. The problem is the 19.5, 22, etc tires are built differently and on our light trucks cause the trucks to weave all over and not handle well. I sold mine to a guy who put them on a VERY overloaded 2500HD (2wd I think) with a huge Lance camper on it. He likes them, needs the HD tire for all the weight he carries, but also noticed they wander.

I run them without any problems, I had some weaving problems which I cured with a little more air pressure. I wouldn't buy them from chromewheel, didn't like the customer service.

I have them from chrome wheel to. Didn't have any customer service problems, but I didn't need any though. So I can verify quality and product but not customer service. John

I fought with John for about 6 months, and 200 dollars of my money to prove that I had a bent rim. He finally sent a new one, I had to pay for the tire change and guess what all problmes solved. I would buy a set from Reds in FL if I could do it all over again.

I have been running the Ricksons 225/19.5 tires and wheels (no adapters) since march. I pull a heavy 40' toyhauler and the lower profile 225's loaded have very minimal sidewall flex and hauls like a dream, I have noticed less swaying caused by oncomming semi's and high crosswinds due to the stiffer sidewalls.they are a little taller than the stock 245/16;s but at 65mph the rpms are at 18-1900 and it pulls (loaded) really well.

Unloaded I drop the tire pressure from 90psi down to 65-70 and the ride is not too bad. This is my daily commuter(35 miles one way) on ks. two lane. I do notice the mentioned weave only on patched road joints but with the rear spacers I installed I think that it is not that noticable now that my front and rear tires are lined up.(3" stock offset) I have hauled my 5th. wheel over 5,000 miles this summer and I feel a lot safer with the higher load rated tire/wheel setup.

Happy trails!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif

For those of you looking to get in this. The wheels and tires can be bought by your local tire shops as long as you don't let them rob you on the price. The adapters are the only product that needs to come from one of these conversion companies. That is if you have a good tire company that you like to use. John

John, did you have to raise your T/B for your tires to fit?
