I am looking for rear spreader lights (flood lights) to hook up to my backrack!

I need something really bright. Any ideas?

You could get these (http://www.kchilites.com/acb/showdetl.cfm?&DID=40&User_ID=198311&st=3849&st2=-38682676&st3=69590864&Product_ID=35&CATID=7) and put some 100 watt bulbs in them. I've got the 5X7 long range lights and they come stock with the 100 watt bulbs so I figure the housing should handle the heat. And if you want round lights they make a daylighter 6" in a flood beam.

Or if you want to spend a lot more money and supposedly these lights are worth every penny. The lightforce (http://www.lightforceusa.com/products.html) lights are focusable and you can get wideangle lenses for them. Hope that helped.

depending on the size you want and where youre mounting them, you could go with just about any offroad light. on my last truck i had 100w kcs but they were too big for me. on this truck, i installed some low profile 55w lights designed for backup purpose. they are plenty bright. check out the post from a few weeks ago about better backup lights for more ideas, several people posted pics and what theyre using.

The Lightforce are great lights. I have the 170's on my truck with the orange lense.

I would not use the Lightforce for mounting in the rear. The bodies on the lights are made out of a tough platstic, but if left on with out any air flow to cool them down you can ruin the reflector and maybe even start to mest the housing. I would look at some of the 4" rubber housings that you can put in a wide variaty of lights. You can pick them up at any NAPA store. You can get a 100w spot beam to a 55w flood light, you may even be able to find ones that are airplane lights that are very bright. The lights are incased in glass and wont melt. The housing and the lights wont rust either. They are also very inexpensive.

I have gotten mine at the local NAPA store. To take full advantage of those types of lights you need to have good alternator to handle the load.
