Here is what I am hearing, I have a 05 2500hd dmax with 30k on it, when the rig gets good and warmed up I hear a noise sort like a fart, (I know, thats the best I could think of to describe it) sounds like FERRRRP, when you say that that is the noise I hear when I turn to the left, and only the left) chevy had no idea what it was and was suppose to get ahold of the engineers or something but never did after they looked at it. and the last time I talked to the serviceman he tought maybe it was the brake pads, WHAT? I SAID. It has nothing to do with the brakes I can make it do it in park and not moving, It does it worse the faster I turn to the left.

It sounds to me like it is valve sticking and unseating when the noise is heard, I can also feel a slight vibration in the steering wheel when the noise is heard too. so tell me what you all think I thank you all. Lee

does anyone know if what we are experiencing is the Intermediate steering shaft lube issue?

Yep thats the sound I hear too,and it is only to the left. Hmm well guess I need to take it back in and see if they can figure it out, there is also a gmc dealer in town and have heard better things about them as far as mechanics go. let me know if you find something out. Lee
