Hi all,
Just picked up my new 2500 HD last night, my first diesel. Been pulling a 31' fith wheel with the 6 liter. My wife is freaking out over the Diesel, she's drives the truck most of the winter when there's snow or bad weather and is worried that she is going to forget to let the glow plugs warm up before she trys to start it. I've never had a diesel so what is going to happen if she does this? Is it going to hurt something? I'm sure I will have a lot more questions but that's it for now. Thanks for any help.[-][/-]

I dont think it would hurt anything plus the Dmaxs glowplugs are real fast. It only takes a few secounds. Starts like a gasser. Pretty amazing.

Welcome. The glow plugs work pretty fast in these trucks and if it starts its OK. I may be wrong but I think the only problem with starting without letting the plugs warm up is the truck will be hard to start in very cold weather.
