I have recently started stacking boxes, and when I turn one up to much it will cut out in the upper rpm range. This is bursting right?

I was wondering if a lift pump helps prevent bursting issues? And will you feel a noticable difference in power? Or is it that once you are at the point to cause bursting you already have enough fuel, and the stock turbo can not keep up anymore?Edited by: tgeisick23

A lift pump will help the problem of bursting. The problem occurs when the common rail pressure drops too low and starves the engine for fuel. A lift pump will also smooth out the hotter programs by supplying a more consistent flow of fuel.

I can stack a new Bully Dog XXX version or my Quad 215hp with Attitude (145hp). I get bursting with Either box when I move the Atitude up to 3 or 4. Feels like surging, which it is,at the upper speeds. I don't blame it on the boxes, I need more fuel.

i had felt your answer was correct till recently, ran a few runs and used a tech two to watch desired and actual fuel rail pressure, they were very very close, with the lift pump on, but when the jk215 and another 200 plus box stacked, it still gave bursting, stating that it is a problem maybe with duration or timing rather than pressure
