I am looking for advice on a lift kit. I bought my truck used about a month ago, it had a mild lift and LT325/60R18 Nitto Grappler's on the truck. I measured the tire with my tape and it us roughly 31-32" tall tire. I would like to get new tire soon, because these tire are about warn out, I want to run either Super Swamper TSL, or Nitto Grappler's again, but in 38". I was needing advice on what size lift I need, I don't know what I have now, I just know it is Rancho, but it is mild...I was just going to redo the entire lift. The truck is a 2004 2500HD 4-door Duramax, any advice on a lift that will let me run 38" tires would be appreciated...Thank you.

Let me add, if it even matters, that my truck is a 4wheel drive, but the only off-roading I do is getting to the 4 wheeler trails. So very mild riding, maybe some bumpy dirt roads, nothing hard core, just a little mud.

I would run the cognito kit, it is what I have on my truck, and it is pretty bulletproof. I currently have 38's on it. Nitto does not make a 38" tall tire that is any good. If you want a good set of 38's look at toyo open countrys, or the parnelli jones tires.

I have been looking, and am having a hard time finding the Cognito website. Where is the best place to look for a 10-12" kit for a 2004 2500HD 4-door Silverado? Do they a have a website under the Cognito name, or is it another name? Thanks...

Go Look in my Garage.....I have a 10" Whiplash Life and I run 38" Toyo's on 20" rims! Super Swampers are VERY Noisey on the road!

I suggest the CST 9-11. Check them out at SoCalSuperTrucks.com
If you are interested in something slightly taller to run 40s I would suggest a bulletproof 12. Find them at BulletproofSuspension.net. I would stick to something with a one piece tube subframe.

Im running the CST 9-11" kit set at 11"... with the 37x13.5x24" Toyo Open Country MTS (very quiet and lasts a long time) with 24x12" KMC Rockstars and have had no problems.... Dont buy crap kits, stay with Cognito, CST if you wanna go big enough to clear 38's without a lot of cutting or regret..
