: Fuel cost going down!
motocopter 11-10-2004, 11:06 PM Wow! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif BP diesel at exit 11 I-24 down from $2.159 this afternoon to $1.979 this evening. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif Expecting to see the Pilot and Flying J to follow suite. That ought to put them at $1.889 or so.
Reineke 11-11-2004, 06:26 AM Local Trenton Texas dropped from 2.15 to 2.07. Would be nice to see less than 2/gal though. Keep 'em dropping!
Bowtie Boy 11-11-2004, 07:13 AM Must be nice it's still $2.31 here in sunny Fl
baimpala 11-11-2004, 07:17 AM Seems like Florida and California are the highest in the country right
now. In the midwest, it is under $2.00 a gallon in many
places! On the right track. Crude down. . . prices are
following.
Dennis
baimpala 11-11-2004, 07:23 AM Actually it looks like prices are coming down in Florida as well, I see
a lot between 2.10 and 2.20, so hang in there Bowtie Boy. . . .

GMC-2002-Dmax 11-11-2004, 08:39 AM Wait till China's ecomomy collapses because of runaway inflation.........
There will be so much excess crude they'll have to drop the prices due to oversupply.

BTW..........in CT it's avg $2.34 to $2.49 now........http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley19.gifEdited by: GMC-2002-Dmax

towin43 11-11-2004, 08:02 PM Diesel has dropped slightly here, down to $2.27 from $2.35. Gas has tumbled down to $1.83. Still haven't seen a good explanation for the huge difference in price between gas and diesel. Diesel used to be 20 to 30 cents a gallon cheaper earlier this year. Kinda defeats one of the purposes I went diesel this time. http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley18.gif
skoryaro2 11-11-2004, 08:42 PM I filled up today here in South Carolina for $1.96/gal....WOOOHOOO...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Rock%20On.gif

marcdeluca 11-12-2004, 10:18 AM Hopefully it will go down some more after the winter heating oil reserves are built up. I feel confident that is why diesel is higher than gasoline right now. How much is french fry oil going for these days? Could always run Mr. Dmax on that.....
mnoutlaw 11-12-2004, 11:13 AM anywhere from 2.11 to 2.25 in Minneapolis, MN
LARSONEM 11-12-2004, 12:59 PM I paid $2.19 for BP/Amoco Premier on 11-10-2004. Several places I went by while out running errands it was still $2.29. I see the Citgo truck stop (I won't fuel there) was $2.08 this morning. But the Mobil and Speedway in my town were stil $2.32 last night.
skoryaro2 11-12-2004, 03:00 PM Still $2.19 - &2.24 in my neck of the woods.

Hey, we still get better mileage than the gassers, so what the heck. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif
It all has to do with refining capacity.....heating oil is the primary product right now.

BuckeyeQuicky 11-13-2004, 11:39 PM I paid $2.17 yesterday at a Citgo station in Crestview,Florida which is located rite off I-10, thats .11 cheaper then it was last week, Ill be heading over to New Orleans on Monday so Ill try and get back with the prices I find along I-10, in Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana, their fuel prices are usually .15 to .25 cheaper then Florida`s, I know the first thing I'm going to do is install a 90 gal in the bed long range fuel tank, so I can take advantage of Alabama's lower cost.
BlueCrew 04 D/A SB GMC 11-14-2004, 10:10 AM Finally down to $2.06 from $2.27 in northern Wisconsin.
Nice to finally see it start to go down instead of steadily rising. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif

Crude Oil Price Down (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=530&e=3&u=/ap/20041203/ap_on_bi_ge/oil_prices)

BH in AZ 12-04-2004, 03:13 AM ABC news had a short report Friday evening saying the forecast is for a mild winter. This means a lower demand for fuel oil. Hopefully this while increase the supply of diesel and lower the price. They also said the refineries shut down by the storms in the southern US are now up and running.
aka108 12-04-2004, 08:06 AM Saw 2.15.9 here in Central N.Fl. For most of us, the price of fuel is one of the least expensive things for the vehicle. Insurance and depreciation are the biggies.
1.96 here in albuquerque NM !!
Duramaxdad 12-05-2004, 11:22 PM $1.88 here at a local mom and pop place:ro)
GMC2500HD 12-05-2004, 11:32 PM Filled up the other day here in town and paid $1.75 at Shell of all places... They told me that their prices will continue to drop over the next few weeks... That will be nice...
tbyrne 12-05-2004, 11:46 PM $2.29 at the Mobil station near me. Figures diesel would be the most expensive after I by a Duramax. At least the mileage is double what I see from my 8.1. I filled that at $1.97 a gallon tonight.
btw - when was the last time gas was below $1.00. I remember paying $.99 but don't remember when (late '90s?).
DMAXYUKON 12-06-2004, 01:19 AM $2.25 in Juneau, Alaska last weekend. Thought that was pretty good!
dogger 12-06-2004, 02:37 AM $2.04 in Arlington, WA $2.28+ in Bellevue, WA
nathan909 12-06-2004, 04:43 AM 2.33 here in riverside, CA
Speaking of gas prices, anyone run Red-die (for off road use off course). Any problems?

Slide 12-06-2004, 11:11 AM Anywhere from 1.79 to 2.07 depending on what street corner you look at and that is for diesel. I have seen the price vary as much as 14 cents within a block of each other. The truck stops are running around 1.89.
BK Tool 12-06-2004, 11:31 AM Weekly updates: http://tonto.eia.doe.gov/oog/info/gdu/gasdiesel.aspPete
aka108 12-06-2004, 12:08 PM This is not on diesel fuel but on gasoline. Most stations in the Tallahassee area are 2.17 to 2.21 per gallon. SAM's Club selling it for 1.95. Sam's not giving anything away out of the goodness of their heart. Think the others are really ripping people off big time. Wish Sam's sold diesel.
baimpala 12-06-2004, 03:13 PM I bet Sam's does more volume than those little guys. . . when the price goes up, they all raise the price immediately, but when it goes down, they wait until they get rid of the more expensive stock to lower their price (I guess it's not a two-way street). . . .
Price still hanging around 2.27 here. . . .no competition, they set whatever price they want.
Dennis
blnagel 12-07-2004, 10:26 AM Now 1.98 here in eastern Montana. Came down 0.07 in 1 week. I hope it keeps dropping.
Ben
Tuckaleechee DMax 12-07-2004, 06:56 PM Exxon in Maryville, TN was 1.89 diesel this afternoon. Gasoline was 1.69.
baimpala 12-08-2004, 10:33 PM Down to 2.21 here. . . lowest in a LOOOONG time.
Dennis
Pure Diesel 12-08-2004, 11:38 PM Shell station now 2.05 Diesel(dropped 30cents)):h and gas at 2.10
Mike_in_Wisc 12-09-2004, 10:07 AM South-Central Wisconsin $2.15 for BP regular or premium either one. Been there about two weeks now.
lakingslayer 12-09-2004, 10:13 AM Diesel is $2.19.9 at the Chevron I use. Regular unleaded is $2.29.9
I heard OPEC is going to cut production due to excess supply. That's not usually good for us and fuel prices.
colodmax 12-09-2004, 10:17 AM Went from $2.05 to $1.95 in Longmont CO lastnight.
skoryaro2 12-09-2004, 01:03 PM Diesel dropped another $0.10 last night around here. Can get it at many stations for $1.89 although some stations are still up at $2.15. BTW regular gas is down to $1.69
jf2500hd 12-12-2004, 12:22 AM Houston, Tx $1.79 a gallon
Fred G 12-12-2004, 12:36 AM Here in West MI most stations are at $1.99-2.05 as of 12/10/04. But my favorite station has it for $1.77! Of course this station's price never exceeded $2.05 when everyone else went to $2.20-2.25 in Oct/Nov. How they can sell it at thirty cents less on a regular basis is a mystery to me!
mgmack 12-12-2004, 09:10 AM In Hope Mills, NC(near Fort Bragg) I found it for $1.96 at the Super WalMart. Two days ago it was still at $2.05 so it's going down just in time for the Holidays.
DRCook 12-12-2004, 09:30 AM still 2.19 a gallon at Sunoco here in Ohio, but that is for Sunoco Premium Diesel fuel. Some of the other places are down a few cents but so are the mpg's getting it from them.
