I've seen on the engine bay fuse center there's a fuse location for HID. I assume this means HID lights. Is there a way we can take advantage of this location and does someone make HID lights for the '04 body style?

Thanks

I can't answer regarding the fuse, but most aftermarket HID kits come with their own wiring harness that includes a relay that taps into the factory wiring to a low beam bulb. Are your referring to a projector headlamp housing for your '04? Do a search for a '03 and you will find them, they fit the '04 as well.

Maybe for the Denali

All GMs on this platform, trucks and SUVs have the same fuse
blocks. The HID is for the Escalades. If you add on HIDs, you'd be
better off drawing power from the junction block and using the
existing lights power for actuation IMO...

What's the point for the projector lights? What do they do for us versus the standard lights we have other than look different?

If designed properly a projection light gives you a perfectly flat cutoff on the top of the beam. I believe this allows you to aim the lights a bit higher than you otherwise would withought blinding oncoming traffic as much because there's less stray light. Ever notice new cars with HID's coming at you say over a hill or something and the light is blinding and then all of a sudden it seems to be gone? This is due to the projection housing.

I've searched for HID/projector lamps. And to be honest, I did find 1. Only one. But I guess what I'm looking for are the "angel eyes" or "halo" lamps.

Thanks for the input, but I guess they haven't made what I'm looking for yet.
