Your right foothttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley9.gif

Seriously, since we are running a fly-by-wire system that could have something to do with it. I have, and I am sure you have too, read many posts pertaining to this except the truck wouldn't move. I am sure it if it can malfunction and won't let your truck do anything, than it could quite possibly do the same thing in your case.

A tap of the throttle makes it idle normal, pushing in the high idle switch makes it run like chit. It acts like a high idle choke.Idle is smooth.

Is this a sign the Fly by wire is taking a dump? What controls Idle speed?

I thought I had a run away diesel today!

I would highly recommend to take the TTS and the edge off. See if it does it when you do that. If so, what kind of high idle kit do you have? It could very possibly be one of these.Edited by: dmaxfan

It might not even be your fly-by-wire system, it could be bad connection to your juice, your bad injector, or your high idle kit.

High idle is just a standard momentary switch. Like I said if I engage it it will cause 2500 RPM idle to be rough, so it isn't it.

Edge box is divorced,I doubt the TTS has anything to do with it.

It could be your bad injector or the fbw. Your computer controls it. you might can reset the computer and everything may be ok.

Forgive me, I'm trying to help. I'm brainstorming.

Mac, to understand what I am talking about look by your gas pedal. If your truck isn't running, push it. All it is is a spring. To the left of it is a wiring harness.

You probably already know all of this, but in case you don't you won't think that I am full of $hit.

How about a poor Engine Speed Signal, due to bad Speed Sensor or poor connection, (wet, dirty, bent pin, …) Just a guess.

Engine Output Speed Sensor on Allison, C4, pin A (RED/BLK) and pin B (DK BLU/WHT) to TCM C2 pin 17 and 18 (Helms 2002, page 7-685)

Well we'll find out as I'll be dropping in the stock ECM next week and I'll check the Pins. The TCM harness hasn't been off in quite some time and this is something NEW of occurrence.

With the Injectors in will go a new FRPCV also. Not sure on the Go-Go peddle has anything to do with it,I'll have to trouble shoot further.

There is a high idle option for cold startup. It runs at high idle I believe until 165 degrees. Check you manual on how to turn it off.
