I have had my truck roughly two weeks. It has been missing at idle (seems fine when driving); at first I just thought the rough feel at idle was normal for a diesel but now after a long road trip I am realizing it’s not normal at all!

After being on the freeway for a couple hours I noticed the first time I stopped the engine was idling perfectly! You could not feel the engine running at all. Could this be a bad injector? Once the truck sat overnight, the miss came back.

Since I purchased this vehicle I have gone through 5 tanks of fuel. So at this point I am feeling safe when I say the fuel is alright. The dealership said they replaced the fuel filter so I am assuming this is not the problem. Has anyone else had this same problem?

Okay, so the missing seems to have stopped. I get the feeling this truck may have sat for a while before I got it. Now today after driving a hair over 200 miles it’s running even better; this truck loves the highway!

Today on my venture I pulled into a gas station that sold “Premium Diesel” I filled up with that; will have to see how things pan out in the weeks to come. Anyone know if premium diesel is any better? I didn’t realize it even existed. (use to just seeing #1 & #2 Diesel)
