Hello all
I just picked up a 2004 Sierra 2500HD Duramax LLY. I don't have physical possession of the truck yet, here's a few pics:

I'm very excited about the new addition -- I've been wanting a turbo diesel for a while now, but am... how should I say it... somewhat committed to my gasser project truck (read: totally insane and have replaced or modified every mechanical system on the truck). My very understanding wife has been dropping hints that I shouldn't modify the Sierra very much in the next few months (like saying "If you modify that truck you're moving" :D) so it will likely stay pretty close to stock except for tuning (EFI commercial owner already and do all my own tuning on the TT).
I'm looking forward to the challenge of tuning a diesel as I know virtually nothing about it :help2::lol: I'm sure I'll be asking all kinds of silly questions (like "where are the spark plugs??" hehe)
This site came highly recommended by a couple of different sources including the guys at EFI and members of pt.net. The site looks awesome and I can't wait to dig in!!

Welcome to the site! You'll have fun here.
Nice truck / You will love this site / You are gonna wonder what took you so long / Compared to gassers you will be amazed how easy it is to wake these things up.
Good luck.

Thanks guys. I'm really chomping at the bit to get my hands (okay okay, my EFI live) on the new truck hehe
Tim -- yeah I still have the SSS (twins now!), but just moved to Rochester NY where 1000rwhp doesn't sound like a great idea in the snow months hehe.

Wow! Welcome to the N.E. ! why the move from Florida? You Definitley wont want to Drive that Twin turbo Bad boy in our crappy salty winters! But im sure that's why you bought that sweet DMAX. Are the twins still based off the STS kit? What kind of Boost are you running! And Tell your wife your sorry in advance cuz you know your gonna mod that new truck! Lift pumps- Tune-trans- ... It never stops!!

hehe She already caught me looking at the tranny mods threads lol
I took a sweet job at RIT and they actually wanted me to live here too!! A lotta nerve if you ask me!!
Yeah the new TT setup is an evolution of the STS kit -- I'm using some hybrid turbos that Rick puts on the Z06s when they want to make big power, and modified C5 STS intercooler and my own custom piping and full exhaust. There's a thread over on the other site ("Twin Berserkers" (http://www.performancetrucks.net/forums/showthread.php?t=396025)) that has details up to about a week before my move. Right now the truck is still in FL (waiting on the shipping company) but everything is buttoned up and I just need to troubleshoot why I'm not getting spark lol (worked on it literally until 12 hours before the movers showed up). Should be running again pretty soon after I get it up here -- then just a new tune for the altitude, big injectors and twins and we're off. I may have a little more work to do on the fuel system (may change the lines and set up on the rails a bit) but nothing major (knock wood).
