I just came into a bit of extra cash. So I am considering putting a charger on the small block. Anyone done this or know anhyone who has. I can get a MagnaCharger RADIX Intercooled unit for a decent price.

What other upgrades should I be looking at. Shift kit ect.....

Also can you stack a Predator programmer's custom tune ontop of the chargers fueling. Reason I ask is I have not got a straight answer on this. I have 4.88 gears and 37's and don't want any issues.

Any help would be appreciated.
Chris.

my guess is that the blower people will supply you with the proper tune for the truck. I would be suprised it would let you stack programs on a gas engine. You will probably add another 100ft/lbs of torque with a super charger, so you should verify that the tune they give you will change shift patterns to help minmize the carnage from all that extra torque.

I would probably put a true dual exhaust setup on there with an x or h pipe. That truck should have had dual 3 inch the the muffler, so it is easy to cut it right there and sandwich to 3 inch mufflers side by side with an H in front of it, and then 3 inch tailpipes.
Let us know how it works.

I Have the Radix, The tune that comes with it leaves allot to be desired, I had mine redone, now I get the same or better milage than stock. If I'm aggressive I can go through fuel allot faster. If you want you power Instantly, the radix is for you. The centrifigals can blow more, but you have to wait. The higher the revs go the more they blow. I'm glad I did the Radix. I had already decided on a STS Turbo but changed my mind at the last minute, and I'm glad I did.....:D

Oh, and NO. There won't be any stacking of programs.

Do some shopping before you pull the trigger. FastDonzi gave you a nice reveiw of the radix, also might want to check out Procharger if you're looking for more HP potential. The roots blowers drive nicely, they just run out of steam up top (in comparison).

A custom dyno tune would be the smart way to go for tuning. Do it once, cover your bases.

since i dont have a blower, i wont give you a "I heard these work well" review of anything. BUT someone mentinoed an STS turbo system as well. From your avatar it looks like you do some off roading. One thing to consider about having the turbo mounted under the truck is that you have to be real careful about where you drag your truck now. wouldnt want to go on the trail with the turbo and come out with a bunch of parts.

also a good site where lots of guys are charged is ls1tech.com lots of good info from experienced guys there.
