Are you not worried about voiding the warranty on your new truck?

I am. I would love to add HP and increase MPG, but not at the sake of voiding my warranty. I have been told, and also seen with my own eyes, that adding any of these enhancers to our trucks will void the warranty. Just because you remove the equipment before you take it in, there are ways that GM can tell if you have had it hooked up to your motor.

I have a PPE programmer and It looks like you only paid like 500.00 for the HP? Did I just read the site totally wrong or what? What does something like that cost and if it's just about 500.00 then why does'nt everybody have this one? My PPE is for sale if it's only 1/2 a grand!
Thanks,
Ben:confused:

We have an ex GM mechanic working for us and he said yes there is a way if the techs want to spend 3 days on a tech 2 looking for the subtle thing that tells them the computer was changed.

Hptuners is new to the diesel field, but I think they are here to stay. They have been in the gas industry for a while. I have been doing some reading up on them, talked with people about them & seen there demo. It looks pretty nice.

Because with HP Tuners you really have to know what you are doing. You can pay a tuner to use teh software and make several tunes for your vehicle and then you can swap them yourself, but HP tunes is most often used by dyno shops for performance tuning by folks with a LOT Of experience.

Handheld tuners are plug and play and the chance for user error is much smaller.

Anything that is new does take time. I think you can do damage if you run a plug in play tuner also.
