JPR5690 08-17-2007, 09:57 PM I think im the first? anaways, just got done reading, writeing, recovery tuneing, disableing exhaust dtcs, and copying my ppe handheld tuner pramaters basically hpt is a go for lmm support congrats. Guys we all appriciate your hard work bringing lmm support to the market
foff667 08-17-2007, 10:04 PM Very cool!
treyb07 08-18-2007, 02:19 PM So basically you can have the PPE program on your HPtuner?

Have you used EFI live? Hptuners looks way easier to use then them. What do you think?
JPR5690 08-20-2007, 11:49 PM Havent used efi live im sticking to hpt.. There good people, im working with them to smooth out the scanner bugs but i can tell you so far hpt is really fast ans seems solid for the vcm editor... Also they seem to be putting alot of emphisis on the lmm developemnt so im sure were gonna see a kick ass release here soon .... O yea crash burn, thats kinda the idea.. Copy it over and put it back to stock
CRASHNBURN 08-21-2007, 12:35 AM I am sticking with my Banks system. No need for ppe for me. I also want to get a program that I can do more. I think I am going to get HPtuners. It looks alot easier to tune with then Efi live. I am glad you like working with them. I have talked with them & they seam really good to deal with.

JPR are you straight piped? how many miles do you have on since you killed the exhaust codes. I wanna put my CEL out too but I am curious because this is my concern.
Ive been straight piped for awhile now with sensors unplugged and check engine light on with no issues. This is my question. If we use the software to block the trouble codes that are triggering the check engine light will the truck then think it is ok to regen when it wants because it is not sensing any "problems"?? or is there more to the software than just blocking the codes that are set. Does the software have a feature where you can turn off regeneration? I am wondering if anyone has any expierence blocking the codes after straight piping only becaus eI havent had any problems thus far and dont want to create any by simply trying to turn out the check engine light.
JPR5690 08-28-2007, 10:01 PM No regen and no codes about 500 miles so far i dont think it will regen b\c the sensors are not there to sense the pressure difference so there is nothing to set off the regen...jmo
JPR5690 08-28-2007, 10:02 PM But to more accurately answer your question no there isnt nothing i know of to disable regen yet, moreover the software just tells the computer not to error on the condition.... Id bet there is a regen table tha6t can be blanked out its just not in my beta lmm version of hpt yet
DuraMaxxedOut 08-29-2007, 12:06 PM cool thanx for the input. where are you located. id love some help clearing my codes and shutting off the light!

sounds good that would be great!. You wouldnt even have to stop in CT I could just meet you up in VT to make things easier. I travel up there all the time. Actualy im headed up to the northern part this wknd. Do you think i couls still tow heavy with a level 4 tune? Sometimes I tow real heavy (overloaded with a JD 450 dozer) so I would need a tune that I can still play around with the import junks on the main drag but not get the egts to hot when towing real heavy? Thanks again

Just a thought - for $499 why don't you buy HPT (as 2 credits are $100) and have JPR5690 give you a step by step on shutting off your codes and adding more power - this way your can change powerlevels when you want.

Werd, then at least you'd have yourself a very good scanner & a tune you can tweak at any time.
:D
JPR5690 09-05-2007, 09:29 PM Or that, i got a ripped *** lev 4 tune, the codes were just 3 button clicks on the dtc menu... I've uploaded my tune for download on the hpt repository so if you bought the software its already up for grabs
JPR5690 09-05-2007, 09:30 PM As far as a tune a lev 4 tune is gonna be too much for heavy towing.. Your gonna need a mild tune or switch between tunes
CRASHNBURN 09-06-2007, 11:07 PM How many times can you rewrite to the ecm before you might have a problem or have to buy a new one? I have an lbz also. Thanks.
foff667 09-07-2007, 05:29 AM Most pcm's can be flashed thousands of times without issue...my gtp's pcm has been flashed a few hundred times without a hiccup.

CRASHNBURN 09-07-2007, 08:59 AM Thanks bill. That puts my mine to ease.

Hey thanks again JPR. Then we could just do the codes and I will go with edge or banks 6 gun so I can adjust on the fly for towing etc. Still need two credits to do just codes? PM me before you are heading up this way.
turbo lcc 09-07-2007, 12:29 PM Yes you will need 2 credits for JPR5690 to write to your ECM.
CRASHNBURN 09-08-2007, 01:04 AM He does not need to buy the credit to just clear the codes. I thought you only had to pay for the credits if you were going to write a tune to the ecm.

To shut the DPF codes off you will need to write the to ECM, you can clear them without a lic yes - but they will return :(
CRASHNBURN 09-08-2007, 03:41 AM Oh, yeah so he would be reprogramming then. If you had a buddy that just wanted a temp code cleared only then you would not need to buy another credit.
Ender 10-24-2007, 12:15 PM Is the HP Tuner solution for the LMM out of beta yet?
This is great news, as I was considering the HP Tuner solution for our Solstice GXP. Now we can kill 2 birds with one stone.

HP Tuners VCM Suite 2.2.0 is now here & you can tune the LMM's. It is out of beta. You can not tune the allison yet, but that is in a beta now or real soon.
Ender 10-24-2007, 02:37 PM Thanks... I'll pull the trigger then.

NelsonDiesel 10-24-2007, 02:51 PM Are you gonna be active on this forum while you are messing with your lmm?

How do you like HPT so far?

I do not have it yet. I am saving money for the proper gauges first. I want a tap reset or at least to be able to look at & tune the tranny also.
