I recently purchased a bottle of frion to recharge my ac from auto zone and the connector would not fit. What does everyone use to add frion to the ac system?

humm. it should fit.are you sure your attaching it to the right access port? on the ac systems there are 2. the low and the high, make sure you have the right one.

the bottle i got was from checker and it worked just fine. double check and good luck!

On the bottle it says use the low access point. Is this the one closest to the firewall?

Could be referring to the low pressure side (large cold line with moisture on it) of the system. If my memory serves me correctly the system has a high pressure line (usually hot) and the low pressure line (cold to touch-larger line).

Without gauges and a basic knowledge of A/C systems, I'd sure think about having someone "in the know" do this.

X2..... If you don't know what you are doing you could get hurt. That high side pressure is probably has 150 psi or more and has hot liquid or gas. probably better to let a qualified person do it just as BVH said.

as long as you dont puncture the line you should be fine (which would be quite hard because its aluminium). look for the low pressure attahment site. if your bottle does not plug in there take it back and get a refund.
