Why can't I run dual wheel rims on the back, take out the spacer on the front hub and put a regular matching rim on? If I match the tire circumference, what would it hurt? I've seen a dually done this way somewhere and I thought it looked a lot better than rim and lug nuts sticking out so far. Does anyone have experience with this or some advice?

you should be ok dooing so jsut throw a standard rim on with the same load range and size tire youll be set ,safty wise i dont see a problem but rotation of tires will be a hassle because the to move the front tire to the back thay will have to be dismounted and remounted on the rims, and then what kind of spare tire will you carry ? one for the front or one for the rear?

Probably carry a spare for the front because you seldom lose more than one at a time in the rear, on the other hand, a wheel for the rear would bolt onto the front to get you to the tire shop. It would just look a little funny:cool:

exactly!
defenetly look a little odd ......with out the hub spacer you would have to have it flipped so it is the same orientation as the outside rear rim. haha maybe a new trend there LOL
