Does anyone know how quick/responsive an Autometer Ultralite electric transmission temperature gauge is? I am thinking of trying to use it as an Intake Temperature Guage temporarily on a 6.5 until I get a scanner. Will it keep up/adjust fast enough or is the sending unit designed to adjust slower because it is intended to be used in transmission fluid?

I have a Autometer Ultralite tranny temp guage that is being used as a tranny temp gauge. It's hard to say if it would react quickly enough to be used as an IAT gauge. Tranny temps don't swing nearly as quick as IAT would.


If you already have it, maybe try it out infront of a heat gun or blow dryer.
