Well I got to come home on R&R from Iraq this past weekend and tackled the job of installing all my goodies. Cognito UCA levelling kit, Cognito braces, Bilstein 5100's all the way around, ALCOA Hotshots, and Bridgestone 235/85/16 Revo's.

Tell me what you think. It's kind of hard to se where the tires are with the darkness of the wheel wells, I will try and add some better pics later.

I am sure it looks nice. However your pictures did not show up.

I do like the Alcoa rims, always have.

Looks good. Did you put a block in the rear or just raise the front?

Now that looks good !! That's the way they should look on the dealer lot, as much as these trucks cost, HELLO!. That looks a hell of a lot better than those -:t black "crack star" wheels that were posted on here yesterday!

OH, and welcome home and thanks for all you do in the U. S. military for the people of this country. Hope you don't have to return to IRAQ.

That is just the front cognito upper arms and 6 1/2 turns on the torsion bar bolts. The rear is stock height.

Yeah they should come with nice wheels, atleast give an option for them, I would have sprung for upgraded factory Alcoas if made available. Ford F350 Dually trucks have OEM Alcoa wheels.

Thanks for the support, but I will be returning to Iraq in 13 more days, sucks.

How hard was the kit to install?

Not hard as long as you have heavy duty jack stands and the right tools. Metric sizes such as 21 and 24mm sockets and wrenches, I had it all so it was nice not having to use adjustable wrenches as some do. The upper control arms went in quite easy. The idler/pitman arm brace kit to me was a bit more difficult. The shocks were a pain to compress and get into place. But I am quite happy with the end result and how it rides. The truck also looks a lot bigger with the bigger tires and level stance.

Sherr,
Awesome set up. I have nearly the exact same set up, I have the dual Bilstein Cognito kit up front and Alcoa Magnum wheels. I have had mine this way for 2+ years or so now and love it. People think I have a lift kit. Dually's look so much nicer level. I also really like how the truck rides with the shocks set up

Pics are in my garage

Duramax Dually, I have seen your garage pics a lot, in fact I based my purchases of wheels and tires based on your pictures and reports on how the tires fit. Thanks

Sherr20,
Well I am glad I was able to offer some pictures to help with some of your upgrade decisions. It is a very nice package. Clean, and classic.

Also, adding to the comments others have said. Thanks for your Armed Forces Service, I salute you....:saluteusa:

Truck looks very tough. I have leveled mine with just the torsions and am thinking of going with the same kit as you. Thanks for your armed forces work also.
