I have read that the Bosch Common Rail Fuel Injection System used on the LLY can operate at pressures of 23,000 psi. Some of the tuning products like Banks and Hypertech raise this even more. Will this increase have any negative effect on the durability of the fuel system?
Thanks
yes and no.
It is believed that small pressure increases aren't a problem but
larger ones cause the pressure limiter valve to unseat. The pressure
limiter valve is a spring loaded safety valve, not a control device. It
cannot withstand repeated unseating and will bleed off pressure when
damaged.

like hoot said... and the pressure raising boxes/devices dont seem to offer any more performance gains then a timing etc type box..

Most companies should have the info of how they do what they do avail on a website or tech sheet.

Eric, do you feel the chip/programmer type products are bad to use since they seem to strain the fuel system?
