i can get them for a decent price. the only reason i ask is because i can't seem to find a allison dealer in SE Wisconsin with the a low price on their external filter. they all want to jack me $20 some dollars. my other option is ebay where i think i can buy 3 allison filters for about $40. just wondering how the donaldson compare. they are listed in the donaldson book as a hydraulic filter.

I have a Donaldson on truck now. Pricey for a small filter but OK.

Try the Allison web site, I have a dealer just down the road that I did not even know was there until I found him on the site...$7.60 for the spin on.

tried that. called a couple of places in milwaukee and they either didn't carry the filter or wanted too much for it

There is an allison dealer in Butler right off the freeway and silver spring drive. I am trying to remember the name of it - you could probaby do a search or ask allison. I just bought 3 filters for around $8.40 each.

I just bought 3 filters and the bill was $25 and some change with tax. Good cheap insurance. Odd thing is that when I took off the filter I found that the dealer that did the first change did not put the magnet back on. I called them and complainded and they are giving me a magnet and a new filter at no cost. I ran it over 20k without and that makes me mad but what you going to do!:mad:
