Just placed my order today for exhaust gauges predator etc....Best price around. Looked and looked. I am not really a low ball only price guy. Some 4in. turbo back systems can be had for cheaper on ebay. BUT...I have learned not to trust ebay...mbrp systems rock(have had a few on a couple different makes).....and have been treated well by nate in the past. His prices were an extra bonus!! Free shipping and the 10% makes it a no brainer!!

I bought mine from Nate. Good service and it came with a tip as well...too bad I didn't know that when I ordered as I also spent the money on a different tip.

What one is everyone using?

Ya, do people go with the Installer series, or the SS higher end ones? Also, I'm assuming when they say "Down-pipe back," that means that it's running through the stock down pipe? Does MBRP sell 4" Turbo-back models as well, or just down-pipe?

I just ordered from Performance trucks also. Great price and awesome customer service!

I will be ordering more goodies from them soon.

Kane- Our top selling systems are the T409 series. They offer better corrosion resistance than the aluminized kits and a lifetime warranty. Also, all the T409 kits now come with a single wall rolled edge tip.

The down-pipe back kit is the same kit most people call "turbo-back". This system bolts up to the v-band clamp under the firewall.

Thanks again everyone!:ro)

I want to order an Exhaust for mine also. Is there much of a difference with a

XP Series T-409 Stainless Steel Exhaust
S6026409 Particulate filter back, single 4" exhaust.
Exhaust tip included.

Nate - shoot me a price on the t-409 duals down pipe back please.

Warlock1- PM sent.

sondy- The main difference is looks on the LMM DPF back kit. There might be a slight diffence in temperature and sound, but the DPF is the bottleneck. That being said, every one we have installed the customer has loved it.

DPF back exhaust are pretty much as quiet as stock. You wont notice an increase in sound. I have the T409 DPF back on my truck and love it. Tip is included in the exhaust.

I was just in the same situation, Found two great places DIESEL PERFORMANCE PARTS INC, and XTREME DIESEL. both located east of the Mississippi. xtreme has free sipping, but dppi was able to beat a already great price with shipping. ( 4" turbo back t-409 MBRP with tip ). maybe this will help...

I guess rust wouldnt be a huge concern for ou but usually the "best" isnt the cheapest, coatings and tube thicknesss etc bary greatly

I got mine from Nate at PTP and couldn't have been happier with the level of service I got. Great price and I receive it in a couple of days. If I need more parts and they carry them, he has my business.

But I must say what a PITA to swap that thing out laying on the ground. I should have weighed each system. That stock system weighed a ton. Now the only problem is the tips are at a slightly different angle. Being a perfectionist it's driving me crazy. So I'll spen some more time ubder there tweaking everything to get it right.

Sounds great, no drone, but you can hear the rumble which I like and already a .1 increase in mileage..hahaha that is if I can keep my foot out of it.:D

What is the difference between XP series and Pro series? Man, I wanted some stacks for my truck, but this price is pretty darn hard to pass up for a 4" MBRP exhaust for my 02 F350...

DSTRBD
08-27-2007, 11:27 AM
The difference is the material. The Pro series T304 is a high grade stainless that will look good long after the truck is gone. It comes with a dual wall tip and has a lifetime warranty as well. The XP series T409 is a mild grade stainless that in time will develop some surface rust. The strength of the material is not jeopardized, it just doesnt look that great. Most dont care though as the only part of the exhaust you can see is the tip. The XP series now comes with a lifetime warranty and includes a single wall, rolled edge tip.

Warlock- Thanks for the kind words! The duals do take a little tweaking to get just right.

Make sure you think about your deision long and hard. I went with the single turbo back and now wish I would have got the duals. They tell me its not as easy as just adding the drivers side pipe. I may have to have my exhaust buddy fab something up.

Quick Storm
09-07-2007, 11:57 AM
i hate dual pipes, so the decision is quite simple.

DSTRBD
09-07-2007, 12:50 PM
Going from single to dual is not cost efficient at all. You need a new muffler and tail pipes to make it work. By the time you price those out with shipping, its expensive. I agree, make sure you know what you want first time around.

MBRP Tech 2
09-07-2007, 01:53 PM
Good advice - the single muffler is single in/single out, dual is single in/dual out.....tailpipe configuration changes completely between the two.
