: autometer tranny temp gauge hookup ???

I have a 2004.5 with the duramax and i just bought autometers tripple pillar gauges,The egt was no problem,but i gave up on the boost(i have no clue where it goes),but can someone explain or show a pic where the new probe should go.I thank you ahead of time for any help on either. Thanks to dennis my boost gauge is now installed,I still need help with the tranny temp gauge. please!!!!!!!!!Edited by: kingkat900

Oh, yeah, before I forget, I took the pipe off before I drilled and
tapped it, then cleaned it out really well to make sure there weren't
any chips or dust inside.

Actually, just looking at the title of the thread, did you want to know
where to put the boost gauge tap or the tranny temp? Can't help
you there. . . I just use the in-dash one.

I bought a deep trans pan and it was threaded for the gauge other than that you will need to tap in the cooler line or tap the oem pan

It will be difficult to tee into the Cooler lines do to the robust size and available fittings. I had my Deep Pan drilled and bunged for the sender.


I have since swapped to a Mag Hytec which is pricey but prepped for a gauge fitting.
