Can anyone enlighten me on how to get at the radio to tie in a sub install? I'm assuming the faux wood piece needs to come out - what tools or tricks do I need to be aware of to avoid breaking something?

Thanks in advance.

As stated, the dash panel just pulls off. In order to remove it after pulling it loose, you might need to take the truck out of park because the lever gets in the way, and tilt the steering wheel down if you have tilt steering. Once you know how to do it, it takes about 10 seconds.

Guys,

What I have is the LTZ new body style. (07.5) This is completely different than the classics - I had an '05 and yes you just start by grabbing the upper right corner to remove and usually have to move the shifter as far down as it will go to get it out.

The dash on the new body style LTZ looks to be all one piece and the only option for radio removal looks to be to remove the faux burled wood U-shaped piece that surrounds the radio and hvac controls.

Tried prying a little on it but I don't want to crack it.

Thanks in advance

There is a video that shows how, I thought it was very helpful, did you need it "yesterday"?

wish this guy was closer, I'd let him do my truck.

I use a small suction cup to pull the corner before I start with the screwdriver. Less chance of marks that way....
