i have a 96 chevy 1 ton dually 4-door had a stalling problem and created another of no charging . i fixed the stalling prob. by removing the intake and removing the factory spring clamps on fuel lines and replaced them with screw clamps fuel lines were sucking air  but still no volts from alt only batt. volts  .. are there any fusible links that will cause this and where are they??? fuses are all good

Was it charging fine before you took it apart?

You have to have a loose connection somewhere. Double check all your wires and clean anyting that has oxidation on it.

no it wasnt it quit in the stalling and starting process of getting it back homei think this is a fusible link problem that saved an alt from burning up because of low battieries.. but where is this link in the loom. my alt has 1 lead going straight to batt. and 4 on a plug going into loom this is a96 1ton dually 4 door 6.5 turbo diesel

Have you posted this in the 6.5 section? Probably get way more guys with 6.5 knowledge there than in electrical.
