:help2: Does anyone know HOW IN THE HECK you remove the lock cylinder from the housing? According to the GMService Manual, with the key inthe 'run' position, you're supposed to insert an allen key in the hole on top of the housing and press down, and the cylinder is supposed to slide out... Not working...:wtf: Am I missing something here?

There is a small hole towards the front of the housing, slightly larger that a paper clip. Inside is a rectangular spring loaded plunger. You'll have to look closely, as the wiring may hide your view. With the key in the run position, the hole lines up with this detent, insert a stiff piece of wire, jiggle the key cylinder and it should pull out.

Disconnect your batteries and turn the key to the crank pos(not the run), insert a allen key to depress the lock for the cylnder with one hand and pull the cylinder out with the other....

Thanks KGT and Eric. That is the key... The manual says turn it to RUN and then press down. Think someone needs to update it!
