I was thinking about debadging my 03 gmc. I was wondering if anybody had done this before and if it was difficult to do. Also will it leave any holes. If anybody has pics i would like to see. Thanks

Debadged my car, warm sunny day, and a litttle doubled-up dental floss got things started real easy. Smooth clean finish, very little residue, came off with some goof off, no elbow grease.

Nice hot day then just grab a corner and peel.Plastic putty knife works great as a starer to get under emblem. Just roll off remaining sticky then wipe with solvent and buff and wax for a clean look.

Easy to do! Just what everyone else said. I did it to both my trucks and it looks sweet. Here are some pics - visit my garage for some more if you want.:D

Just de-badged my truck of the dealer sticker on the back and replaced in with an ATS decal. Putty knife worked very well to remove dealer decal and I just used a gasoline soaked paper towel to remove the "stickiness." Couple passes with the putty knife got all of the stuff off. Looks good, subtle, and mean.

I was thinking of doing the same. So just peel them off and clean, there are no pegs and holes?

The crazy thing is that I only had my 07 off of the lot for a week before I pulled off all the moldings and emblems. I could not believe all the sand and dirt already behind the door mouldings! This could eventually rub through the paint and start to rust, that wouldn't be good! Always, make sure that you pick good parking spots after though, your pretty volnurable to door dings!

I doubt that you would want them after being ripped off. I even tried to be careful taking mine off, and as soon as they bend a little the chrome paint flakes off of the plastic. The GMC's were a lot tougher to get off than my Chevy was? I couldn't believe how easy the chevy's came off.... rip... done!

Good Made Chevy is what I used to say, but now I drive a Chevy so that doesn't apply anymore!

when i did my badges i made sure i had a heat gun handy and a can of acrysol to help soften up the double sided tape. it turns out great if you wax it right away.
