Is there supposed to be a sound deadener blanket attached underneath the hood like my other vehicles? I have 05 GMC LLY.

The hood blanket installer must have been out sick the day your truck was built. My neighbor's 1980(?) Chevy truck has a GMC steering wheel. Came from the factory that way.
