I noticed that my 07 truck was leaking tranny fluid after only 8000 miles on it. Got underneath to see if any bolts had worked loose, or if my gasket had gone bad. It took me a while, but I traced the leak to a pinhole in the casing at the tail of the tranny. Has anyone else had casing problems?? Just curious????

Your signature doesn't say if you are 4x4 - but if you are, welcome to the transfer case pump rub club! Search Pump Rub or even just Transfer Case.

Pump rub in an 07? You've got to be kidding me.

This leak is in the tail shaft casing that bolts up to the transfer case. I was quite surprised to see this with only 8000 miles on the truck though, I guess I am just that lucky.
