does any one have a site where we can get the trouble codes and other info without purchasing the whole manual or a subscription to Alldata? I have a 2005 3500 4x4 with a duramax but my buddies have Chevy's from all years so interested back to 1996.

what I was wanting was the codes and fixes so I could borrow my buddies scanner and get any codes that the computer threw and also maybe fix it myself instead of at the dealership. I was certified mechanic a while ago but went in another direction for more money and better hours and other benefits and the dealership has since been sold and they went out of business.

Look at the sticky that says "DTC Lookup Tool" at the top of this section.

it says what the code is but it doesn't tell any fixes and if I was out on the road and didn't have a laptop which I don't I wouldn't be able to get that info that is why I was hopping for a site I could download the codes and possible fixes so I when I travel I can take that and a code scanner and maybe get it fixed myself.
