I have a ’94 6.5Lturbo charged 4x4 ¾ ton with what appears to be a sensor in a freeze plug. It is located on the driver’s side below the exhaust manifold. And has a three (3) wire connector coming out of it. Please see picture. I have a drip of antifreeze on it. I need to know what it is and how difficult it is to replace.

Block heater. Never changed one myself but wouldn't think them to tough to do. Pull off that old plug, buy a new cord and see if it still hisses when you plug it in. I wouldn't worry about a drip.Edited by: CanadianRigger

yeap thats a block heater easy to change but I would see if it works before I changed it. The oil pan heater would be a good add along with the block heater
