My brother has a 04 Denali Pickup with 1200 miles on it. The tranny is totally smoked. The mechanic said the fluid was totally burned up. Have any of you heard of this before. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley7.gif

I have seen it and fixed it many times. An assembly line is never perfect and all it takes is one little seal or ring to get nicked or cut on installation for an auto trans to burn itself up. With so few miles on it your brother should insist on a new transmission, not a rebuilt one. It might take a few phone calls and a much longer downtime though.
