This may sound like a dumb question, but does anyone know were i can get a locking gas cap for my 05 diesel?

I asked the dealer when I bought my 04 and they didn't have one. They
had one for 03 on the list. I have looked every now and agian but have
yet to see one. It is a vented cap. Is a cap for a diesel special in some
way?

Just a side note if you live in a high theft area. My buddy has a MG that got stolen once. They recovered it on the side of the road with the locking gas cap all torn up. I guess the thief just couldn't get it off to get more fuel into the car.

I have a 2004 LB7. I bought the 2003 locking cap from the dealer
and it has been working just fine. The dealer price was about $12
which wasn't too much more than mail order like the AC Delco GT250
cap. I think the part number I bought was 15071104

One nice feature of the GT250 is that it allows re-use of the tether strap from the OE cap. Wal-Mart also sells a STANT locking cap that will work. I used the Stant cap on my 98 K3500 6.5L TD and transferred it to the DAMX before changing to the AC GT250. (I purchased the GT-250 AC-direct.com)

Yep, this came up before, walmart has one that will work, do a search I posted the part # on this site months ago. I took mine to wally world and matched it up!

The Stant #10591 works fine.
