I've been having problems with my cruise control on my 2001 lb7 and I would like to try repairing it myself if possible to keep from having to bring it to a dealership.I wish I could find a repair manual for it ,but I haven't had any luck.If any body could give me some information on checking this out,it would be greatly apprieciated. THANKS!

Not sure but worth the effort GM uses the high mount brake light with a diode as the ground for the cruise control relay that's the first thing I would be checking. PLAY SAFE!

So what your saying is this doide could be causing an open circuit. If it is,can I bypass it without causing damage to my cruise module.

Sorey I was not more specific, they use the circuit as a ground if the light bulbs are burnt out the circuit can't be competed. DO NOT remove the diode. That is what shuts off your cruise when you step on the brake it opens the ground circuit for the relay. If the bulbs are burnt out replace them and try you cruise. PLAY SAFE!
