I have a question about the difference between the 2007 Allison transmissions as far as weight rating is concerned.
In a C5500 with the diesel engine there are three transmissions available for 2007. The codes for these transmissions are MTR for 1000, MHF for the 2350 and MTS for the 2200.
According to the data below the 2200 and 2350 are rated at 30K Lbs for the GCWR and the 1000 is rated for 26K Lbs.
What is the difference that enables the 2200 and 2350 to have a 4K Lbs more weight rating?
