I did a software update on my Bully Dog power pup. I forgot to return the truck to stock (I know its my own fault) and now I cannot get the trucks stock tune back. Anyone ever had this problem? Anybody know how to fix this? I'm lost on this one.

Call Bully Dog and see if they can send you a stock program for your truck...You will basically have to go through the same process as updating it. They have done it for me on a Triple Dog.

If there is someone you know with EFI Live, they could download your stock tune out of the repository and then load it into your truck, could they not? Just an idea. Good luck.

You could do it with efi but you would have to purchase a license.

Just finding a tune in the repository that looks to match is not the best idea. To be technically correct, the ECM should have a Tech 2 flash as EFI does not do a full flash yet. Another option is to do a Tech 2 Flash to another ECM and save the file with EFI Live, then fwd and flash. You'd have to verify with Ross though. If Bully Dog changed anything outside of the tables used by EFI Live, it won't be corrected.
If you were to send the ECM to me I could ensure that it is corrected. All I'd need is return shipping.
P.S. I'm surprised the tuner allowed update in a "tuned" state.

When I had Bully Dog I couldnt update the unit without returning the truck to stock. The update manager would not allow it. Have they changed something?

Thank you very much for that offer I might take you up on that. I just need to figure out how long I'll be without my truck and what I'm going to do while its down. I was surprised it let me update also.

The more I'm on Diesel Place, the more I like guys like Kennedy. A real class act. I'm saving my money to buy EFI and a laptop. I'll be looking you up John.
I know this is off topic, but where else can this be posted and make sense?
