It is the heart of a good trans up grade. Most economical upgrade you can get that is worth any thing. Its the heart of a Suncoast upgrade as well.

I did an install how to article here:

Remember your going to have to drop the trans. A converter would be a good idea also since it is now the weak link. What are you running or going to run or what are your goals or plans for the truck?

Sorry, been out of town and missed your reply. I haven't done any performance mods on my truck yet except for exhaust. Just purschased a Transgo kit today and will be doing a converter at the same time at install. I plan on installing a Juice/*** next month after I do the trans.

what converter are you going with? Might not be a bad idea to get the boost valve and some good clutches as well since your going in anyways

Call Mike 310 674 4400. He lives in the land of fruits and nuts also so its not too far from ya. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley17.gif Depends on what your doing and planning on doing. Just remember power is very adictive and its better to overbuild it than to smoke something and have to redo it becasue you went nuts on power when you were originally going to "just give it a little boost".

a bear, Mine has been working for 8k, if I can do it I'm sure you can handle ithttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif
