I'm going to change oil in the morning on my 2006 Silverado with 6L. How do I get rid of the warning that
comes up on my odometer.
Thanks

Turn the key to the "on" position, but do not start the truck. Press and released the gas pedal all the way to the floor 3 times, this should do the trick. It works on my 03, not sure if its the same for the 06 or not.

To add to the above: You must press the pedal three times within 5 seconds. Also, the reset system is somewhat finicky - sometimes it works first time and other times it takes several tries. I never could prove it for sure, but my '02 seemed to reset better if I went through the reset process and then turned everything off and gave it a minute or two before starting and checking that it did reset.

If you have steering wheel controls just scroll thru the menu on the lower button on the lower left spoke. When you see "oil life" just press the lower button on the lower right spoke. That should do the trick.
