one of my heated mirrors (with directional in it also) seems to have bit the dust, the turn indicator works, remote movement works, just no heat, the other one works fine. it was a nice day to find this out since it was a HUGE frost of the season this morning at about 28 degrees and the mirrors were covered totally, and of course it was the passenger side mirror that would not clear off..... Any chance there a separate fuse for just the heat part (doubtful?) has it been common for these mirrirs to loose the heat circuit?

I think its a common problem. I've replaced my drivers mirror
once, passenger side twice. We had the same heavy frost here this
morning, passenger side is gone again. Long out of warrenty now,
I'll probably replace them with TTT's.

Don't know if mine work, had it a year, don't think it's ever gotten cold enough to notice! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

One of mine is out as well. Other side works fine. They actually get slightly warm to the touch after awhile. Definitely a noticeable warmth when they work.

TTT's? Are these the one's that come on a Ford ($600 + on their site)
I have replaced my driver's side twice under warranty. Quoted several hundred dollars to replace them now out of warranty. Sounds like this should get extended coverage like the fuel injectors!
