when i ordered my exhaust I didnt know that it was from where the pipe bolts together. would adding the 4" from the turndown back to this flange make any difference. a few people i have talked to said it wouldnt make in difference because that pipe in already 3.5" and its relatively straight except for that first bend... anyone have any input on this?????http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif

Any more open flow will help performance. I would rather change from the down pipe all the way back considering what you are running.

Absolutely. Any improvement will help. Less restriction in
one location means less overall head loss for the exhaust, so you will
benefit from installing a larger pipe there. It may not be much,
but it will be an improvement.
