Will the take-off wheels and tires from a dealer fit on my 86? Think
the bolt pattern is different. Great way to get a good cheap set of
wheels and tires.

The PYO's or Chrome HD wheels ones will both fit (if your talking 8-lug). Ive got a set of PYO's on my '86 work truck. What is different however is the wheel stud thread. Pre '88 is 9/16", '88 and on is 14mm. You'll also need to machine or router out the front center caps for the hub. I got a set of the 9/16" lug nuts (just like the current HD's, except for the inner thread) off ebay. I'll see if I can find the guys name and number or a link to his auction.
