Hi gang,

I left my truck at the airport saturday night to fly to nashville a few days. When I got home this evening I started my truck and it chugged and rattled like hell for about the first 5 minutes of driving. The weather has cooled off here a bit but I dont remember anything like this in 7 years of owning the truck. Is it just a fluke or is it getting worn out? I will give a report after I start it in the morning. I have only used the block heater on one occasion when I went skiing in colorado one winter should I start using it?

My Best,

Justin

I'd start with the glowplugs.

12 volt test light or volt meter. pull the wire off and test between them. If it doesn't light it's toast.

I'm experiencing the same cold start noise that I didn't have last year. I was planning on changing the glow plugs to fix. Will let you know.

Could be the mfrs havent started shipping #2 winter fuel.

Add some cetane \lubricity mprover formula to the fuel tank - should help with the extra advance PCM is calling for
