Hey everyone,

I have a 2004 D/A CC LLY with the edge/juice and am interested in getting a cat back exhaust. I would like something that is a little more free flowing and with a LITTLE BIT of sound. I don't want something that is as loud as a 40 series flowmaster. Between the diesel and the mud tires I have more than enough interior noise so I'ld like to keep it to a minimum. I'ld prefer something without alot of drone. I dont' really care if it is a dual or single exit exhaust. I do a little hauling and would like to lower EGT's a little more. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I've heard the TTS catback on a few trucks. It is very quiet. No drone.

Thanks for the info guys......where would I locate those two exhausts online for the best price? I did a google search and didn't come up with a lot of info on either one.

Leeinmemphis,

I have the CAT back TTS exhaust system on my truck also. It works fine (fairly quiet with very minimal drone around 1500rpm). It dropped the EGT around 100 deg F will pulling some of my trailered toys.

Here is a link to the TTS website:

From what I've been reading it seems like none of the cat back systems for the LLY change the exhaust note much if at all. Someone correct me if I'm wrong because I was just going to order the summit system thinking it'd be a little louder than stock.

The LLY is evry quiet as compared to an LB7, especially at idle/low speeds. The VNT seems to be VERY effective at chopping up the exhaust pulses. If you retain the catalyst, there will be VERY little difference from stock.

Thanks for the info guys. I pm'd a couple of vendors and am waiting to see what they say about both the MBRP and TTS. One thing I am concerned about is I have a gooseneck hitch and read in one of the instruction manuals that it may not be compatible with the exhaust with modification. The hitch I have is a set of reese rails mounted in my bed so I can change between a fifth wheel and a gooseneck. I imagine they are talking about a recessed hitch in the bed but I just need to make sure.
