well, thanks to many answers from John (6appeal) I finally got my stereo done. I am using to kicker 10's, with kicker ds 6in in all 4 doors, and pioneer tweets in the factory location.

all of this is driven by a 4 channel phoenix gold amp that is pushing 125 watts per channel in the front, then a little over 350 bridged to the rear.

now my problem is the rattling I am getting from certain bass notes. at some frequencies, the back cab wall, just below the back glass, rattles louder than the bass itself.

I took the carpet out, but would it help some to put it back in? yes there is enough space to do so.

any other ideas?

thanks guys

A nice layer of Dynamat Extreme would take care of that problem. See my garage for pics of the shiney stuff.:D A Trunk kit would fit the bill (5 18" x 32" sheets) nicely or a Door kit (4 12" x 36" sheets). You only need 1 layer. If you have any left over put some on the doors. You don't need to go as crazy as I did to get the benefits.

I'm glad you're happy with the tunes. Always happy to help out when I can.;)

6Appeal, checked out the pics of your dynamat. Very nice, very clean job. two thumbs up man, hoping sometime soon I can dynamat the new truck. (I like your other rides by the way, I had an old GN back in the day, and have a prime 87 Monte Carlo SS aerocoupe right now.)

I've made some posts on how much it helped with noise reduction or maybe it was some PM's. Do some searches on my posts in this section. If they can't be found, I'll look through my PM's. My truck is due for some more Dynamat Extreme along with some Dynaliner and Extremeliner when it cools off a little.

I like the MCSS:cool: , but the GN was faster from the factory:p: . Mine aren't stock any longer!
