I have a '07 4 door Silverado w/dmax, how do I find out what tranny I have, and what fluid is recommended?

Thanx:ro) Mike You have an Allison Transmission just like the emblem says on your truck. You need to use Dexron VI or Transynd Machinator 08-02-2007, 01:31 PM It's an Allison 1000 Series. Dexron VI is the factory fill, many people use Transynd as a replacement. There are many others to chose from.
