I am so on it, as soon as it comes out!!!

Anyone figure what the ballpark price on it would be?

I'm guessing about $900-1300 or so..

Realistically, I would look for an MSRP of 1300-1500....

That's what i was thinking too. The attitude is quite a bit cheaper then I expected it to be though. Maybe they will surprise us. I think if they can keep it under $1000 they would sell a lot of these.

I talked with him on Monday, but did not ask if he was going to Vegas. I would guess he probably did since he has not answered me by now.

Maybe it will have a stock setting too so I can run my other goodies without having timing added on level 0....

THAT would get me interested. Having timing on 0 is what keeps my Attitude in the dark most of the time. Either have 200+ HP available OR no timing on 0....that would sell even more...c'mon Aaron make it happen!

I'd order one but it won't work with the Trippin mounthttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif Honestly a little too much going on in one unit for me, display is probably big enough for the programming/guages but looks small for navigation or a backup camera. I would much rather have a seperate navigation/camera unit(i.e. AVIC-N1).Edited by: 3500dmax

Yeah I was thinkin of that myself, it is kinda small lookin for nav/camera. Gotta admit it looks pretty sweet though.

I don't think this one will fit in the overhead console. I'd personally look into modifying my center console, get rid of those useless cup holders. Of course that won't work for people with bench seats.

Well now everyone needs to scramble to make a mount for it. I think that would be sweet in the overhead mount that trippen is making. Just need to tweak it some so it will fit.. I will definately be interested in that when it comes out... Another addition to my christmas list...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley17.gif

Burner
11-04-2004, 02:23 PM
motovet, if you like it and want to use it as a base... just have the "other" programs drop the % of timming. I really don't think it would be that hard to do, if they will always be stacked. I'm not a programmer but I don't think the EDGE box would run very well at all with 0 timing. I think that timming is a base in the program for EDGE...take it out and what ya got?.... http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley28.gif Plus, it would most likely be the single most expensive programmer you have ........that would be hard item to resale.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley9.gif

...... After rereading.... this could have been taken a little sharp, it was not ment in that way. I ment it in a constructive way. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley20.gifEdited by: Burner

Wasn't there a way to remove timing on edge boxes? Some kind of 'timing loop' If I recall correctly.

motovet
11-04-2004, 03:24 PM
No problem...didn't see it that way at all. What would be nice though is to have the ability to have on off position as far as power goes and still have the other functions on the edge monitor. I have been using Johns' VA stacked with my attitude and have used only one tuner at a time. The Juice runs the same as solo with this stack as the VA seemingly is shut off on the stock setting, but the VA runs slightly worse and sets codes with the Juice on 0 with the added timing. Having the OFF position would also allow the Race/Juice stack and solo Extreme selections without playing with the bale connections in between when running Steves' program. Probably just as well...I should be saving for more tires anyway.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif

Ummm... whoa. That thing is pretty slick looking.

I wonder if this can just replace the current Attitude monitor without
needing to buy a whole new setup? I've been shopping for a GPS
box and this might be a neat way to incorporate everything into one
module.

Here is a pic of the A2 they had on display at SEMA ....

http://www.duramax.de/a2_sema.jpg

..it is basically a repackaged Pocket PC running the Mapopolis Navigation plus an EDGE program to display the vehicle information. With a little imagination you can easily see the 4-way rocker in the center and a pushbutton to the left and right....
I wonder if it will be possible to add programs like on a regular Pocket PC.
The map data is stored on a MMC/SD card.
