I searched and maybe it is just not out there or maybe I am just looking in the wrong place but does anyone know where I can get a 2005 Silverado owners manual in a PDF? I hope to pick up a truck soon and I am a newbie to diesels so I would like to start boning up. This is a great site but I find myself getting off on tangents and then taking a thread down with me. I would like to educate myself before I make a bigger fool of my self, cool Chris if you read my email you know what I am talking about. Thanks for any help. PS: I have read the intro and downloaded the maintenance schedule from there. I was looking for a more in-depth file for reading on the lake this weekend.

Too bad it isn't a few months down the road, you could pick up my truck which is a 04.5 loaded with 31k miles for a killer deal.

Keep asking questions, thats how you will learn, and don't worry about "taking down a thread" by participating. Tons of helpful people and info here....

Good luck in your search for a Dmax. :)

I have the manuals loaded up on a site. It is for a 2004, but it tells you about the LLY engine. It is for a sierra, but the diesel supplement is all the same. Check it out here: Manuals and DTC List (http://savefile.com/projects/808504248)

Looks like a great source but alas they did not have a download, If I do get a truck and the manual is missing I will get one there.
Thanks

Not a problem...I bought a truck used one time that didn't come with a manual. I found out about mygmlink.com and you can download them there for free, so I though I would post them online because it too a little time to get that site set-up so you could have your data on there. Anyway, glad it worked out for you.
