Going to purchase a HTPIII programmer for my 07 LBZ. I know that it probably isn't the meanest of the bunch, but I am not looking for that. I can get this at a great deal (steal nearly) and just wondering what the thoughts on this programmer are?...........HT says that it is totally safe for towing , even on the stage 3 setting which is 96 hp ( I think ), and that is what is important to me !!..................Thanks for your help and advise......................Roger

Define safe.
As HP is raised so is the wear and tear on the transmission.
I would not trust anybody to make that decision except me. what is a load to one guy is 1/8th of a load to another.
I would install a pyrometer and watch to see if it gets to hot on the high hp setting. generally 50-75hp is pretty normal for towing.

My 2cents,
Josh

Those are ok tuners if you don't want that much HP and just for general use. They can be safe for towing, personally the predator is the best bang for the buck out there right now..

I've run the HP111 for about 10 months now. 1 problem, had to return to them to reflash. I run on 2. Gotta protect my warranty so I watch all gauges (including boost and EGT). Don't abuse the power, but noticably, note the increase over stock. Haven't tried any of the other.
Before I go to stage 3, want to find someone nearby (central CA) to install a Transgo jr. kit

I have one for sale if you are interested. I upgraded to an Edge Evolution for the guages and internet upgrade. Pm me if you are interested and I'll make you a good deal.
