Max Power 11-03-2004, 01:02 AM try removing your juice and see if it improves. Also have you had the reflash done? If so have them check injector balance rates. If not, have both done. Someone here today said they had a refalsh done and one injector changed and improved 5mpg!
dwrat 11-03-2004, 09:30 AM I will do that.
Thanks

dwrat 11-04-2004, 05:44 PM Any other ideas. It is going into the shop Friday.
mpdlt 11-04-2004, 09:29 PM Check your avatar! That will do it every time!
I pull an 8000 lb 5th wheel and I'm getting 9.5-10.3 on average.

dwrat 11-05-2004, 01:04 AM Thanks so much, I don't do that very often. This is my second tranny and I don't want to buy another any time soon. Your mileage is not that great either. Edited by: dwrat
BamaFan 11-07-2004, 02:47 PM I would suggest getting rid of those gigantic "hoopty" rims...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/hihi.gif
baimpala 11-07-2004, 03:21 PM When I first got mine, I went 60 MPH, towing 21k total, and got
12.5. Slow down 5 MPH, and set your Juice to '1.' See what
happens. Also, follow Bama's advice. If you still have the
stockers, throw 'em on there before you tow. Also, are you hand
calculating mileage, different diameter will affect the DIC. . .

willivy 11-09-2004, 12:05 AM what do I need to do? I tow a 20 ft Bullet bass bot and up to a 38 ft gooseneck trailer. I got 4.9 to 5.6 mpg.. Not towing I will get like 9 to 10 mph.. Then they drive it without trailer and 71 miles and full it back up 13 gals.. 71...13 gals=5.46mpg..Tuck has like 1000 mile on it... Its a 2004.5 LLY auto.373 gear..3500 cab and chassie.. dwrat 11-09-2004, 10:34 PM Willivy you got something really wronge with your rig. Hopefully the dealer will take care of it. No box will fix your problem so don't waste your $$$$$$$.
I LOVE the Bullet Bass Boat, what motor do you have and how fast does it go(80 mph)?

letsgo 11-10-2004, 08:25 PM If the picture you posted is true, the back end of your truck looks low, but the trailer looks level, it looks to me (hmm! thats 3 looks) that the ball needs to be lowered 2 to 3 inches, in order for your equalizer hitch to do its proper job and that is to have both truck and trailer level.
hope I,m wrong. good luck. and nice unit.
dwrat 11-11-2004, 09:40 AM Letsgo
Thanks for the advice and I will lower my mounting unit for the next trip. (Turkey Day)http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif
