It means your probably in for a real good time. Did it lose power yet?

Yeah we took it to the dealer and they suggested the injectors but if it isn't the injectors what could it be

Injector pump would be next in line of possabilities. It's most likely the injectors.

How hard is that to change ourselves

I am having a nostart problem, and before it all began I thought the tranny was going...4th and 5th felt VERY strange.

How did you pull your p0093 code, is there a tuner you must buy or can you do that oldschool like on GM cars and the paperclip trick? :o:

You could always go to AutoZone and ask them to read the codes for you. Walmart or the like has readers for about $40 too. No paperclips are gonna help you out though, unless they are hanging off a laptop or something.

i have been living with that code for about 50000 miles and i pull heavy trailers. #1 don't use tow haul because the shift rpm is about 2200 and in limp mode it won't go past 1800, so you are stuck in whatever gear,if you stop and take off you will stay in first. i have found that if i keep the turbo boost under 7lbs it will not limp, the rpm's seem to make no diff. when leaving a stop if you don't have a boost gauge go very light on the throttle. when i find out what is causing it i'll have it fixed. I don't want to be like danb303 and spend thousands at the stealer and still have the problem. where is danb303? ps my water pump stopped leaking when i loosend the overflow cap and that's also been many thousands of miles. iam not a mechanic so i am not so sure you should listen to me.

as i was pulling a 15000 lb trailer today i got to thinking, crap, i live in florida, flat as a pancake, I wouldn't get away with this in West Virgina, or any other hilly state. As I said before. take what I say with a grain of salt.

put a cup under the truck to catch what was leaking and it was diesel fuel coming from about where the air compressor is at. Is it possible that it could be a leaky injector or something its just weird cause we always way have seen the compressor leaking we thought it was condinsation but now it turns out to be diesel fuel and it seems to only do it when it is turned off not and not all the time

We got the fuel filter changed and it runs like a champ but it still will throw a code if you are going 55 up a hill and try to excelerate and it also does it at full throttle I am thinking it is probably the fuel pump but thats alot of money isn't it?

Sounds like a familiar problem I had with my truck just after I bought it. When puller a 7500lbs 5ver up a steep hill my tranny would limp at 2000rpms and up, w/ TH on. Turns out my injectors were bad, once they were replaced, no more limp at any rpm range plus pulling hills was a breeze. Never noticed a leak or anything, but it would throw codes everytime it limped. Not sure what codes though had it fixed by the dealer, and didn't think to ask what code it was. Whatever code it was told them the injectors needed to be replaced! Hope you get it figured out. Cheers....:D

Well the P0093 code is coming up but it would be our 2nd set of injectors put on and the truck is close to the 7yr/200,000 benchmark so were trying to get the dealer to fix it but I think they are gonna just let the miles run out cause they are at 195,000 well a couple below but it still isn't 200,000

Well this weekend we were hauling a trailer with about 4k pounds on it and we were pulling up a very steep hill. Wouldn't throw a code so we thought maybe it was something weird but then we get it on the interstate without the trailer and it codes going up the slightest hill. It is really starting to piss me off because it would pull a trailer up a big azz hill but won't go down the interstate what in the world could this be

mine is doing the same thing too if I hammer on it (ie wide open acceleration) If I accelerate 3/4 throttle it is fine. Does it stock and with 100+ tune, no trailer.

mine was fixed by the fuel filter

Mine - only when towing - was "fixed' with a new fuel injector pump.

You sound like me, learning to live with a problem that really is not that big of a problem. I to have the WP leak, loosened cap and been good to go for over a year now. I have the P0404 EGR Light, and learned how to drive to keep it from illuminating. I guess it is a Florida thing???:D
